- Production System Engineer
Description
(Hudson, MI) Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote facility utilization and assist CRC manufacturing systems team, maintaining all manufacturing continuous improvement activity in the plant with Kaizen, 5-S, Lean, TPM, and other manufacturing systems and engineering issues. Ensure currency of engineering activities and documentation of production problems, by recording, reporting, charting issues, investigating, and maintaining all open and back issues from continuous improvement activity and manufacturing systems team ideas. Work with quality, technical engineering, and manufacturing teams to plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts, and develop check sheets for all lines and component machinery. Evaluate accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan and ensure results and issues are closed out in a timely manner. Issue periodic reports and charts, recommend methods for improving utilization of material and utilities, and record suggested changes. Work with safety and 5-S audit teams to coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, and procedures to resolve production problems. Work with management to develop production and design standards and provide training to associates concerning manufacturing systems.
Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 3 years' experience as Kaizen Chief Engineer, Production System Engineer, or related position maintaining all manufacturing continuous improvement activity required.
